Cursed...

Kastarya was pacing back and forth. She had told Tiandril that she needed to meet with him, but he was running late. This wasn't like him but she knew he was spending a lot of time with Kyliska and he lost track of time. She was waiting for him outside the Silvermoon gates. In the distance she could make out Ti on his wolf making his way towards her. He smiled when he saw her and dismounted and gave her a warm, tight hug.

"Sister, I have missed you!" he exclaimed. "How are you? I hope everything is alright."

Kastarya took a step back and gave him a very serious look. "No, Tiandril everything is not alright." she started slowly. "I was debating whether or not to even tell you what happened, but I decided you had a right to know." He was looking at her with a confused look on his face, he seemed concerned with whatever she was about to tell him. He put a hand on her shoulder and urged her to continue. "Ti....our mother came to me the other day. She said some interesting things."

"Our mother came to you? I'm surprised she is still alive. What in the fel did she want from you?" he asked annoyed.

"Ti, I'm not even sure what she wanted. Maybe to just clear the air, to let us know she was alive?" Kastarya said. "She did seem concerned when I told her how you had a curse put on you, she gave us her best."

Tiandril snorted in disbelief. "Yeah I'm sure she is really concerned for me, when has she ever tried to contact us before? To see if we were ok, or even ALIVE for that matter. For all she knew we died in the scourge invasion and she didn't even care!"

"I know, she said she left us because it was safer that way or something like that. I was just in such shock to see her. I also hadn't had much sleep the past few days I thought maybe she was part of my imagination or something at the time!"

Tiandril hugged Kastarya again. "It is ok Kast. She is delusional if she thinks her leaving us was for the best. I'm just glad I was able to keep you safe, that was a very scary time, and I'm almost glad that you were very young and probably don't remember a lot of what happened."

"I remember some things, and I know it was scary. I'm just confused why she thinks what she did was right and justified, and also why she felt the need to seek me out now, out of nowhere."

Tiandril looked at his younger sister with sympathy in his eyes. "She cannot justify leaving us to our deaths, no matter what she thinks. I do not know how anyone could leave their children to die. She is no mother to me anymore." Kastarya looked into Tiandril's eyes and saw that he did not really mean his words. What their mother did to them left him scarred and hurt. He would probably love to just forget about her but she was still their mother no matter what. It hurt him more than he would like to admit.

"Ti, let us not think about this anymore for the time being." Kastarya started. "I have been studying almost non stop trying to find a cure to your curse. I think I might be getting close to something!"

"Kast, you are an amazing sister, do you know that?" he smiled at her. "I know you will find the cure, I was never worried about that. Once you put your mind to something you see it through no matter what. But please do not get sick by not taking care of yourself, you need to sleep and eat. And also please find some time for some fun too!" He hit her playfully and she smiled back at him.

"Oh do you mean like how YOU are having fun with a certain blonde blood elf?" she smirked at him.

"Shh, Kast! That is a secret, and I only told you because I trust you! If anyone else found out about that it could have dire consequences for her and me!"

"I know I know, I would never tell anyone even though I'm not entirely sure I trust her. I do trust your judgement though."

"She can be trusted, don't worry. I have plans dear sister, don't you worry. We will be alright. I will always be there for you, I am here no matter what." Tiandril reached into his pocket and pulled out a locket, it was in the shape of a star and glittered brightly. He handed it to his sister. "This is for you. I had it enchanted so that you can reach me whenever you need me. All you need to do is think of me while wearing it and it will glow and I will be able to hear you."

"Ti! It is beautiful! Thank-you so much!" she felt like crying, the gift was so beautiful and also she felt safer knowing she could now contact her brother more easily especially knowing he was keeping his affair with Kyliska a secret and was sometimes hard to track down. He kissed her forehead and smiled.

"Anything for you Kast. You know I would do anything for you, right?"

"Of course Ti, as I would for you as well. Now get going, I know you are very busy I just wanted to let you know what happened with Mother."

"Thank-you for telling me Kast, we will figure out what her plan is, but hopefully we do not even see her again anytime soon." he said with a hint of sadness in his voice. He got back onto his wolf and blew a kiss to his sister and rode off into the distance. Kast was now even more determined to find the cure to her brother's curse. She just HAD to.

Tiandril rode far enough away from Silvermoon but not back to his meeting place with Kyliska. He needed to stop and think for a minute with no one else around. So his mother decided to show her face again after all this time. He didn't know how he felt about that exactly. He felt such a mixture of emotions. He missed her, hated her, loved her, felt confused by what she did. Suddenly he felt a throbbing pain in his chest near his heart. He placed his hand there and pressed hard as if that would make the pain go away. This happened from time to time and seemed to be happening more frequently as of late. He knew this was from the curse and time was starting to run out. He didn't want to worry Kastarya and make her nervous so he didn't tell her how dire his situation was getting. Kyli didn't know either, she didn't even know he was cursed.

He didn't even know what it meant exactly. He didn't know what would happen to him. Would he just die, would he turn into a lich? He had no clue and was not interested in finding out. His sister would find a cure he was sure of it. He just hoped that she did in time, he was all she had. He didn't want to leave her.

Tiandril's thoughts turned to Kyliska, should he tell her or would he needlessly worry her? His feelings for her were getting confusing lately. Ever since she went into her blood rage, he looked at her differently but tried not to show her that. If he really did love her, shouldn't he love everything about her? But that was scary for him. He had never seen her act that way before. She could have killed him if she didn't snap out of it. He knew she was sorry she had apologized profusely and healed his wounds for him. She tried to make it up to him, but things just seemed different now. Maybe this wasn't worth it, maybe it was just lust and not love that he felt for her. He wasn't even sure how she felt for him. He knew that she still thought about Andithiel.

Tiandril decided to put those thoughts from his mind for the time being. It wasn't as important as other pressing matters.

Family

Kastarya Sunsilk sat under a tree in Eversong Forest with a book in her lap. She was trying to focus and learn some new spells. It was extremely frustrating for her. She was trying to help her brother, Tiandril out. He was all she had in this world. Their mother was probably still alive but she had left them for dead during the Scourge invasion and they hadn't heard from her since. Kastarya was very young at the time and Tiandril had made sure she was safe. Kast wasn't entirely sure why she even wanted to see her mother. She felt that she needed to get to know her since she didn't remember much about her. So she made it her mission to find her.

After Kast started studying to become a Warlock things had changed. She had some more power than she ever used to. She never knew what she wanted to be, but then when Ti had that curse put on him, she figured she would try her hand at being a Warlock to see if she could help him out somehow. She wasn't able to find anything of use as of yet, but she was still beginning her studies. She would go days at a time without sleeping trying to find something to help. It was during one of these bouts of studying when she came across something very interesting. There were scribbles in the margins of the book she was reading. The handwriting looked familiar and Kast had no idea why that would be and who's it was. Then as if cold water was splashed on her face she realized she knew where she had seen it before. It was her mother's handwriting. Was her mother a Warlock, or at least studying to be one? And what were the odds that Kast would happen to find the same exact book that her mother had used?

Kastarya felt like someone was watching her and she looked up and saw a female blood elf standing off in the distance looking at her. She knew this was her mother. Maybe she had never really left and was always watching out for her and Tiandril. But why wouldn't she let them know? Why stay in hiding? Kast had so many questions to ask her. She had decided she was going to talk to her and she got up and walked over to her. The female Blood Elf had long flowing red hair, just like Kastarya's. She smiled sweetly as Kast made her way towards her but didn't make a move to hug or kiss her much like a mother would do automatically when seeing their child. Kast frowned slightly and kept her distance.

"Mother, is that you?" she asked cautiously.

"Yes dear Kastarya, it is your mother." she said quietly.

"I....I don't understand. Where did you go, why are you back now? Have you not cared about Tiandril or myself? You just LEFT us! You left us to die. Good thing Tiandril kept me safe, I don't even remember you much. Why would you do that to us. Were you studying to be a Warlock? I'm so confused!" Kast rambled on and on until her mother put up a hand and she stopped suddenly.

"My dear, sweet, innocent Kast." her mother started. "You were always so full of life and vibrant. You were such a sweet little girl, and still are. You also could be very naive. There is much to this world that you do not even know about. You were brought up in a very sheltered life, that is partly my fault, and I am sorry for that. That is part of the reason why I left you two, my two children to fend for yourselves. I felt like you both needed to grow up, and maybe the way I did that was harsh but it needed to be done."

Kastarya just stared at her mother with her mouth half open. She couldn't believe what her mother was saying. She left them on purpose to die, because they needed to grow up? Was she insane? Did she actually believe that? They could have very well died and then how would she feel? Would she be fine with them just dying instead of growing up like she put it?

"Mother.....I am sorry but that is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard." Kastarya said. "We could have DIED. Fel we almost DID, but you wouldn't know anything about that now would you? Tiandril is cursed now because of you, I hope you are happy with yourself and I hope you are also happy in how much we have MATURED since you decided to leave us for dead!"

"Tiandril is cursed?"she asked slowly. She seemed to show concern over her son being hurt or in trouble. "Cursed as in how? Is he alright?"

"Like you would even care, but yes he is alright...for now anyway. I am going to find a cure for him don't you worry. I CARE about my family unlike you!"

"You are a fool daughter if that is what you think. I do care for both of you and that is exactly why I did what I did. You both needed to learn life's lessons the hard way. Being sheltered would have just gotten you killed sooner rather than later. I left when I did because it needed to be done. If you cannot see this then that is your problem alone, and not mine."

Kastarya felt as if she had been slapped in the face. Clearly her mother was insane. How could she even think that was the right thing to do? Letting her children both almost die? In the most horrible way? Kast wasn't even sure why she had wanted to find her mother if this is the woman she was. She was better off without her.

"Mother, even though it was nice seeing you, I have to go. I have more important matters than hearing your insane babble about why you left us." Kastarya said smoothly, and turned to leave.

"Kastarya, I really did leave you both for your own safety. And I do hope that one day you can see that I did what was best for my children. Please be well and give Tiandril my best." Kastarya turned to make another snide remark at her mother when she suddenly vanished into thin air.

Now that was strange. Kastarya didn't get the answers to all of her questions but now she had heard why her mother had left. It was not a good enough reason for her but at least it was a reason. She didn't know if she should even tell Ti that she had seen their mother. He had a right to know that she was still alive and why she left, but was now the right time? She knew that he was spending a lot of time with that Kyliska Sunfire. Kast wasn't even sure how she felt about that Blood Knight. Her and her sister both seemed pretty insane to her also. They were very quick to act and slay enemies, which was a good cause but Kast thought that maybe there were other ways. Kast was a little too idealistic for a Warlock, and a Blood Elf she supposed. She wanted to use the demons that she controlled to better herself and her society.

She could see how manipulating demons could cloud your judgement and your mind though. After summoning them over and over and hearing them talk to you and hear their thoughts she could see how one could go down a very dark path. She would not let that happen to herself though. Maybe that is what happened with her mother. She let the darkness overcome her and THAT was the real reason she left her family behind. At least if that was the case, she could still be saved.

Kast decided to put these thoughts from her mind for the time being. She would take a nap since she hadn't slept in a while and things would be a lot clearer when she woke up. Then she would decide if and when she would tell her brother about what happened. This could wait until she had some rest.

Rage

Kyliska stormed on the top deck of the Sunfire ship that her and Tiandril would meet. She was livid. That undead woman, Beckyann just loved to push her buttons. How dare she insult Kyli like that in a public manner? After she was the one taking Kyli's very own kills the other night. The nerve! Kyli was raging as she paced back and forth. She was walking so heavily that she thought the deck would just fall beneath her. Tiandril had heard her footsteps and came to the top deck to see what was going on.

"Kyli, are you alright?" he asked cautiously.

"Oh yes, I am quite fine Ti." she said but continued to pace back and forth. He took a slow step towards her, but didn't reach out to touch her just yet.

"I am sorry to say this, but Kyli, you sure don't seem to be ok. Is something wrong, would you like to talk about it?"

Kyliska looked at him with anger clearly in her eyes. She continued to pace as she began to talk. "I am in a very bad mood and I would caution you to stay away from me for the time being until I cool down. You have never seen me like this and you do not know what I am capable of when I am in a mood like this."

Tiandril just looked at her and smiled. "Kyli, I am not afraid of you, and also I would like to help you through whatever has put you in this foul mood." He took a step closer to her and was almost close enough to touch her and he started to reach his hand out to touch her arm, when Kyli jerked away.

"Ti....please do not press me right now." she started. "I do not want to hurt you, I am not thinking clearly right now, just leave me alone. There was only ever one person who could calm me down when I was like this...."

Tiandril knew she was referring to Andithiel, but he didn't care. He was going to try. He put his hands on her shoulders and forced her to stop pacing. He held her in place and looked into her eyes and he was actually a little nervous when he saw the daggers that were staring back at him. She started to shake and turn red. She had warned him but he didn't listen. In one fell swoop she maneuvered herself out of his grip on her and knocked him to the floor. He yelped in surprise but she was not done yet. She was seeing red. When Kyliska got into a blood rage you did not want to be in her path. You wanted to stay far far away. She jumped on top of him and began to punch him. It was a good thing she didn't have her armor on still.

Tiandril blocked some of her blows but not all of them. He was screaming at her to stop but she couldn't hear him, she was in a trance. In her mind she was picturing that undead bitch and she couldn't stop punching her. She had punched her face a few times and then was punching her right where her undead heart should be. Did she even still have one? Kyli didn't even care at that moment, she just wanted to make this bitch hurt. Even if she was dead and maybe it wouldn't even hurt her that much, it made Kyli feel better. She was screaming at Kyli to stop, and she even got in some good hits to Kyli, but she couldn't feel anything right now.

Then out of nowhere Kyli felt something warm on her arm, and then she felt slight pain. She stopped and looked and noticed that she was bleeding, and there was a white fox biting her arm and not letting go. She shook her head and looked down and noticed that she was fighting Tiandril, not Beckyann. He had a bruise on his cheek and his chest, and was also bleeding.

"Snow.....you can stop now. Thank-you." Tiandril said to the fox and he released his hold on Kyli.

Kyli looked down at Tiandril again with disbelief in her eyes. She fell onto his chest and started to cry. Even though he was in pain he put his arms around her and held her close to him. She whispered a small prayer to the light and healed his wounds for him. "I'm so sorry Ti....." she murmured.

Tiandril stroked her hair and didn't say anything. She was right, he had never seen her act that way before. He had never seen her fight, it was actually truly scary. He was never afraid of Kyli and never realized just how strong she was but in that moment of her blood rage, she was indestructible. She didn't care who she was fighting, she would fight them to the death. In that moment she didn't care if she died, as long as she died fighting. He felt that if he wasn't able to stop her, she might have actually killed him. All he wanted to do was comfort her and try to help her out. He didn't think it would come to this.

As she lay on top of him crying he wondered how in the fel that Andi was ever able to calm her down from that kind of rage. He must be a special guy to be able to do that. Maybe this was all a mistake and she really did belong with him. Tiandril would have to think long and hard about this. He didn't need to be scared for his life every time that Kyliska got mad.
