Taking Action

Kyliska had nothing to do but think as of late. She needed time to heal and she felt like a prisoner in her own room. It was very dangerous for her to let her mind wander. Given the recent events in her life, she didn't want to dwell on them for the time being. She was able to get out of bed, but not without a lot of pain. She found herself thinking about her mother for some reason. It seemed like she had died so long ago but really it wasn't too long. Kyliska could remember missing her so much after she was killed. She felt like a part of her heart and soul went missing after her mother died. That all changed once she found out who her mother really was. She was a lying, adultress, traitor.

Kyli stopped for a moment and actually laughed out loud. Her thoughts had come full circle. She had become her mother. She had become something that she hated. She also cheated on the man she supposedly loved. The only difference was she was not a traitor and she did not get pregnant with her lover. But that didn't make her any better. Like mother, like daughter she thought.

Kyli stood up and undressed. She had to get out of her room. She was cooped up for far too long, she needed some fresh air. Instead of putting on her usual battle gear, she put on a light flowing red dress. She tried to brush her hair the best she could being that her good arm was hurt and she couldn't lift it above her head. She decided to put on some make up to look presentable. It was in that moment that she decided she needed to speak with Andithiel. She had been thinking about that for quite some time but today was the day. She would march to House Felo'melorn and make Andi speak to her. He owed her at least her side of the story since he did try to kill her. She was going to give him a piece of her mind. It wouldn't change anything but it would make her feel a little better.

Kyli looked in the mirror and she looked the best she could. She shrugged and walked over to her window. To her utter surprise she saw Tiandril at the bottom of her window. She had mixed feelings about seeing him again. She hadn't heard or seen him since he brought her home. She had a rope ladder that she pushed down the side of her window to the ground. He quickly climbed up and into her room.

"Ti, how are you?" she asked. He quickly hugged her lightly as to not hurt her and smiled. "I am doing alright Kyli. How are you feeling? You look better!"

Kyliska laughed, she knew he was trying to make her feel better because she knew that she didn't look too great in her current condition. "Thanks for the positive remarks but I know how I look and feel, and it isn't good. But I have decided that I need to speak to Andi, today." Tiandril's expression changed from happiness to sadness. "I see. I will help you get down so you can see him. I know this is something you need to do and I want to help in any way that I can. It was hard enough to come to see you. Your sister has made it so the guards will kill me on sight if they see me again. I must be careful."

Kyliska couldn't believe what he was saying. Would Biara really go that far? She knew she wasn't too fond of Tiandril but to kill him? After he saved her from death? It seemed a little extreme. But then again her sister was basically keeping her locked in her bedroom, so maybe it wasn't so extreme.

"Ti, I appreciate you helping me but I don't want you to get hurt in doing so!" she started. "Also, I'm not entirely sure what is going to happen next. To us, to me and Andi, I am just so confused by everything. I hope you can understand."

Tiandril looked at Kyliska with affection in his eyes. "Kyliska, I do feel something for you. I think that my feelings of lust have changed into love. But I understand that you must meet with Andi, I know what he means to you. I am a fool if I were to think that you would throw that all away....for me."

Kyliska sadly looked to Tiandril. His feelings ran deeper than hers ever did for him. She felt bad about that, she never meant for this tryst to get as far as it did. She just couldn't stop it. She gave him a quick hug and kissed his cheek. "You are a good man Tiandril. You will find a woman who is worthy of you, I know this. I just do not think I am that woman." A silent tear ran down his cheek and he nodded. He wiped it away and bowed to her.

"I shall help you meet with Andithiel. I will do this favor out of my love for you." And with that he picked her up with ease and then slowly climbed down the ladder that he had just climbed up minutes before. "Kyli, just please be careful. You are still very hurt, do not do anything reckless, promise me."

Kyliska nodded. "Thank you so much Ti, you have no idea how much this means to me." She gave a quick look around for guards and when she was sure she was in the clear she was off. She didn't dare look back at Tiandril for fear that she might not leave. She did not want to admit to herself that she did still have some feelings for him but she had to mend things with Andithiel, or at least TRY to. She wasn't really thinking clearly, but she realized that she was headed to a special location. It was where her and Andithiel used to meet when they were seeing each other secretly. They had called it their hill. It was a very peaceful location that overlooked water outside of Silvermoon. It was then that she realized that today was their anniversary.

Kyliska was determined to go to their hill and rest there for a little bit before finding Andithiel. Her mind did not know the way but her heart did and she was surprised at how quickly she was there. She was out of breath and as she walked up their hill, her breath caught in her throat. Andi was there. She slowly walked towards him as if in a dream. She was afraid that if she made any noise she would scare him away like a frightened animal. Her heart was beating so loudly that she was sure he could hear it. Kyli was almost to Andi when suddenly he turned around. Andi had a shocked look on his face. He looked tired, and worn. There was extreme sadness in his eyes. It was strange as he looked at her she could tell that a range of emotions were going through his mind. He let himself smile when their eyes met and she smiled back at him.

In that moment, it was like nothing had happened between them. They were just Kyli and Andi and they were in love. Kyli stepped closer to Andi until their bodies were almost touching. She found it hard to breathe and could tell that he felt the same way. Before she even realized what she was doing, she leaned in to kiss him. Andi returned the kiss passionately and pulled her body close to his. Everything felt right, and perfect to Kyliska. Nothing else mattered but their love for each other. She knew he felt the same way and that he still loved her. The kiss seemed to last a lifetime when suddenly Andi pushed Kyli away. He pushed her right shoulder harder than he intended to and she gasped in pain. First his expression was worried that he had hurt her but then it hardened.

"Kyliska, you should not have kissed me." he started. "What were you thinking?"

"You did not seem to mind it a minute ago." she said stubbornly rubbing her shoulder.

"I know, I let myself get caught up in the moment and the feelings that I had for you. But this cannot happen again." he turned around and faced the ocean. Kyli could tell that Andi was conflicted. She took a step closer to him.

"Andi, you said feelings you had for me." she said. "Does that mean that you do not love me anymore?"

Andithiel took a minute to respond. He took a deep breath and began to speak. "Kyli, you broke my heart. You were my first love and I thought my only love. I thought you felt the same way about me. But then I found you with.....with another man. My world ended that day. I cannot sleep, I cannot eat. I still cannot understand how you could do that to me, to us."

Kyliska put a hand on Andi's shoulder and he pulled away angry. "Fine, I know you are upset with me. I am sorry Andi, I do not know what else I can say or do to make things better between us. I wish I could take it back, it was a stupid stupid mistake. I do not know what I was thinking."

"How long?" he asked simply.

"How long what? What do you mean?" she asked confused.

"How long was the affair going on? It is a simple question Kyli, just answer it."

Kyliska stood motionless. Silent tears began to spill from her eyes as she looked at Andithiel. She did not want to tell him the truth. She wished that it was only one time, and they could possibly get past it. The truth was going to hurt him, but she was done with lying. She had to tell him the truth.

"A few months." she replied. His expression was stoic. It was hard to read what he was feeling at that moment. Tears began to form in his eyes and seeing that made Kyli's heart break. She wanted nothing more than to hold him in her arms and to comfort him and to make him feel better. Again she tried to touch his arm, but then his expression hardened and he became very angry.

"Do NOT touch me....A FEW MONTHS?" he screamed as he pushed her arm away. "How dare you? If it was really a mistake, and it was just one time, then I MIGHT have been able to forgive you, but this had been going on for a few months? If I never found you, it would STILL be going on, wouldn't it?"

Kyliska was sobbing now. She had never seen Andithiel get so mad, especially at her. She knew it was all her fault and she deserved anything that he would say to her, but it didn't make it any easier to hear. "I know my love, I know. I don't know why I did it. You were just so distant and not around. Then Tiandril came back into my life and he showed me the attention that I needed from you. That I wanted from you. So I fell under his spell. I was weak, I know this."

"Do NOT call me your love. If you truly loved me, then you would not have slept with another man. You would have come to me and talked to me about how I was treating you. How DARE you try to put the blame on me when YOU are the one that went behind my back and threw away our relationship?" he paused. "And on our Anniversary nonetheless. You are truly a cold hearted bitch."

The words stabbed Kyli and she actually gasped and had trouble breathing as if she were actually stabbed. She was gasping for air as she was sobbing. Andi just stood there staring coldly at her. True hatred was in his eyes at that moment and it scared Kyli. "Andi, I know I was wrong, but is there any way that I can make it up to you? I would do anything! I love you!"

Andithiel's rage was fading, but the sadness and hurt were still there. He was crying as he let all of his emotions show. All of the hurt that she had caused him. "Kyli, the sad thing is I love you too, but we cannot be together. You have shattered my heart and there is nothing left to love. Maybe in time I can forgive you but for now, I cannot even look at you without seeing you lying there naked with him..."

Kyliska nodded. It was almost better for him to be angry with her. She could handle being yelled at, but seeing him hurt and crying was almost too much for her to bear. "I understand. I know you need time, but I had to see you. I needed to kiss you one last time, in case I would never get the chance to again. Thank-you for that my lov.....Andi."

They both stared at each other for what seemed like forever. The only sound was the ocean waves crashing below them. It was ironic that things would end this way, at the place where they all began. In truth things ended when he found her with Tiandril, but there was more of a finality to things now. Now that they had a chance to speak to one another. The sun was starting to set and Kyli wiped at her eyes.

"I should probably get back. It will be dark soon." she said and turned to leave.

"Kyli..." Andi said sadly.

She turned around. "Yes Andi?"

"For what it's worth, I am sorry for how things ended. I didn't mean to hurt you. I wish you a speedy recovery, and I did not mean to try kill you or....him."

Kyliska forced herself to smile slightly. "I know Andi. I will be fine, it will just take some time. I'm sorry I hurt you too." And with that she turned and walked away from the love of her life. She knew he was watching her leave and she just couldn't turn around. Much like when she was walking away from Tiandril before, but this was different. Her and Andithiel had something that was much deeper than what she had with Tiandril. She truly believed they were soul mates, and would end up together. Things happen for a reason, she just wished she knew what this reason was.
