Awakening

Sassariel woke up with a start. She was confused as to where she was. She felt different. It was hard to explain, but something was off. She sat up and felt cold. It didn't bother her, but she could feel it. She couldn't remember the last time she had felt coldness like this before. Her mind was foggy and she had this urge, this need to follow orders. She stood up and walked out of the room she was in. It was like her body was doing what it had to and she had no true control over it. This also didn't seem to bother her much. It was a weird feeling but also not foreign to her. It seemed perfectly normal.

She could hear a voice inside of her head telling her what to do, where to go, how to feel. Sassariel just listened. The voice was telling her that she must harm someone. The name Kyliska was used, Kyliska Sunfire, but her name used to be Sunblade. Sassariel stopped walking suddenly. The name brought a flash of a memory. She knew Kyliska. She had a very strong bond with her, so why would she want to harm her? You must harm Kyliska Sunfire, do not question me. The voice was more insistent now. Sassariel started to walk towards where the voice was coming from again. It had a strong hold over her and she had to obey.

Another flash of a memory came to her. Sassariel was holding a baby girl in her arms. The baby had blonde hair, much like her own. She remembered feeling such joy. Nothing made her feel more happy than looking down at her newborn baby. The baby looked up at her and smiled. Why was this happening? She knew she shouldn't question the orders that were in her head, yet she was. She was having flashbacks to her life. Her life? What did that even mean? Was she not alive anymore? Sassariel passed a mirror in the hallway and stared at her reflection. Her jaw hung open as she looked at herself in the mirror. She was most definately NOT alive. She was something else entirely. Her eyes were glowing an eerie blue, and her skin was very very pale.

Do you not hear me? OBEY me. Kyliska must pay for her sins as well as yours. The voice was starting to nag at Sassariel. Something snapped inside of her then as she stared at her reflection and heard the voice in her head. Kyliska is my daughter. I would never hurt her. I must find her. I have to warn her that there are people that wish harm upon her.I would do anything to protect my daughter....anything....
