Eversong did not seem to change. It never did. Not in a long time anyway. The wind was blowing ever so lightly, the leaves on the trees rustling making a peaceful sound. Kyliska breathed in deeply and closed her eyes as she relaxed and said a small prayer to the Light. She had changed during her time in Draenor. She needed to change. For far too long she was reckless, drank too much, and she was fueled by her emotions. The best thing that could have happened to her was her Garrison being overthrown. She was extremely angry at first but then she had time to think. Time to realize she needed to grow.
Kyliska walked around Sunfire Estate outside. It felt good to be home. She missed this nice warm weather opposed to the cold snowy wasteland that she had been living in for quite some time. She was not really cut out for that type of weather. At the time it was just what she needed though. She needed to get away from her troubles here. Her troubles of being the Lady of House Sunfire, her troubles with Andithiel, just everything. Kyli found peace. She knew that she would need to take her title seriously, she could not pawn it off on other people such as Braeth'el any longer. She knew that he would help her since she was not entirely sure how to handle House politics and all, but she needed to step up and take some responsibility and not hide from her duties that her sister had bestowed upon her.
Kyli felt like a burden was lifted from her after Braeth'el saved her from her captivity. Opposite to how she felt when she was leaving for Draenor the first time, she felt burdened by her responsibilities, now she was going to face them head on. Even the staff at Sunfire Estate seemed to notice a difference in Kyliska in the short amount of time that she had been back. She knew she still had some more work to do, but she felt like she was making a good first effort. She had cut down on her drinking almost completely, she would only really have a glass of wine with dinner now. Kyliska had made her way into her bedroom and sat on her bed. Braeth'el was briefing her on what had been going on during her time away. They had been in contact during her time in Draenor but he was still counseling her on the day to day activities. He was a very good teacher. She was glad she had left him in charge and even more glad that he was always there for her to help her when she needed it most.
Kyli also had a chance to speak to Biara about many things that had happened recently. She had missed her sister dearly and it was so nice to be able to see her again, even if she was headed back to Draenor again soon. Kyliska tried to stifle a yawn as Braeth'el was talking, but failed miserably. He gave her a stern look, and then softened.
"Kyli, you need to hear this if you are to take your responsibility as Lady Sunfire seriously. I know it is not what you are used to, and we are all here to help you, but you must try." he said softly.
Kyliska sighed and then laughed. "I know Brae, I'm sorry. I do want to try, Biara left me in charge, and really she needed a break. She was in charge of our House for so long that I want to help her out. I'm ready to do that now." she got up and walked to her closet to look through the clothes in it. "Biara said I could borrow some dresses, I might have to take her up on that, or go shopping, I really do not have many at all!" She laughed again. She was accustomed to wearing outfits that were less girly, either her battle gear or pants and shirts. But to look the part of the Lady of the House she had to dress to impress.
Braeth'el smiled warmly at her. "Yes why don't we take a break here then. I have been talking your ear off for an hour straight. I think it might be a good idea for you to get out and buy some new dresses for yourself. We can continue later. Also House Silversilk wanted to schedule a meeting with you. I let them know that you are still settling in, but when you are ready that you would seek them out."
Kyliska nodded and kissed Braeth'el on the cheek. "Thank-you so much for all of your help. I will come find you later to discuss House matters furthur, go relax yourself for a little while, mmm?"She smiled sweetly at him.
"As you wish Lady Sunfire!" he smiled slyly and turned and walked out of her room. Kyliska's eyes lingered on his physical form as he left and closed the door. Things were most definitely looking up. Kyliska would go shopping and then reach out to House Silversilk to make arrangements to discuss whatever matters were on their mind.
