Unknown

Kyliska took another gulp from her mug. She wasn't even sure what type of alcohol it was but she knew it was strong, and just what she needed. She didn't take Braeth'el's advice when he said to drink at home, she wanted to be anywhere but home right now. Everything at home reminded Kyli of "her". She needed some time away, some time to think, or not think as it were. Just to be lost in drink for a little while. She motioned for the bartender to bring her another drink. "Just keep em coming, thanks." she murmured. She gave him a nice tip and he smiled and she knew he would keep her supplied in alcohol for many hours to come if she did not pass out before then.

Kyliska knew this was probably not the best of ideas but at the moment she really could care less. She was not trying to pick up some random stranger as she had in the past. This had nothing to do with that at all. She just needed to forget, forget that she ever had a sister. Because in reality she never did have one. Not after the ruse was revealed, that Biara had played Kyliska and everyone she knew for a fool. It was like Biara had died all over again, but this time the image of her had died, what she was died, who she said she was had died. Lies, all lies. Kyli's whole life was a lie. Everything she thought she knew was not true. Kyli held up the mug as if to cheer her "dead" sister and took a large drink from it.

Kyli felt a tap on her shoulder and she could sense who it was without even turning around. She sighed heavily and patted the seat next to her. "Well if you are going to hover at least take a seat and drink with me."

Braeth'el sat next to her and shook his head. "Kyli, do you really think this is a good idea? You should really be home if you want to drink yourself stupid. You know I will always watch over you, but I really do think it's time we head home. You can drink some more there."

Kyliska laughed. "Home? What is that? House Sunfire! Yes that is home indeed!" she was starting to talk a little too loudly. " I do not want to go there Brae. Everything there reminds me of her. I do not wish to see her right now, do you understand what I mean?"

Braeth'el placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and spoke softly, "Kyli, please keep your voice down, you do not want anyone to know what has transpired. Please let's go home and we can discuss or drink whatever you want, I promise."

She put her hand on top of his for a second and squeezed his hand but then removed it from her shoulder. "If you do not wish to drink with me here, then you can leave, no one is forcing you to stay. They have much better alcohol here than we do at the Spire. I have no idea why since we can clearly afford it. But maybe I want the cheap hard stuff right now..." she babbled on.

Kyliska finished her glass just as the bartender was bringing her another. She had lost count as to how many drinks she had already, nor did she really care. She felt lightheaded but knew the alcohol was working. She felt numb, and that was exactly how she wanted to feel at this moment. She wanted to forget, if only for a little bit what happened. That Biara had duped her, she needed to forget, to feel a little less stupid than she already felt.

Braeth'el made a gesture to the bartender telling him to cut Kyli off. "Kyli, please come with me willingly now or I will have to carry you out of here myself. It is not a good idea to stay here any longer."

Kyliska laughed, "I would love to see you try to make me leave love. I am not hurting anyone, just let me be!" Any other time she would have loved to see Braeth'el's handsome face and muscular body but at this very moment she just wanted to be alone, even though she was in a public bar in Silvermoon. She just wanted to be away. "I can take care of myself, I promise I will behave."

Braeth'el sighed, "I am not worried about you cheating on me if that is what you are implying. I just would feel more comfortable with you at home. We need to talk about some things and I would rather do so privately."

"And I would rather drink until I feel nothing at all. We can talk later. I do not wish to feel right now Brae, so please leave me alone. I will be home when I am ready, I just need some time." she said sadly.

Braeth'el frowned but knew he would not change her mind, not after what had happened. He nodded and kissed her forehead and walked away. Kyliska knew he wouldn't go far, he would stay in the back of the bar and watch out for her, and make sure she really did make it home safely. She was fine with that, she just didn't want to be pressured to leave and she just wanted to drown her sorrows in her own way. She beckoned the bartender and he brought her another drink.

Usually when something happened Kyli would go to Braeth'el or Biara. It was funny that even after she lied, she still had this urge to go to her to tell her what had happened as if it didn't actually happen. It made no sense to her, but she couldn't fight that feeling. Biara was the one person she could tell anything to. Yes they had some secrets from one another but they always came out eventually and they always forgave each other and loved each other even more fiercely after. They had been through so much, and that just made the betrayal that much deeper and hurtful. Biara helped Kyli through some of the toughest times of her life. She took her in after her mother was killed, she adopted her into her family. All of that was a lie. House Sunfire itself is a lie, she thought.

Suddenly Kyli got a sharp pain in her chest. She put her hand there as if pressing it against the pain would make it disappear. But nothing could make this pain go away. It was the pain of her heart breaking. All she wanted was to feel numb yet these stupid emotions kept getting in the way. She thought her heart would break when her mother died, and it did, but it mended with time. Then when Kyliska thought Biara had died, it broke again, and now she felt the same sharp pains of it happening again. This time was different though. It almost would be better if Biara had died. Then she could accept the fact that she was gone, but now she had just lied to all of them and she was alive.

Kyliska's mind was reeling. She had definitely had too much to drink. The room was spinning. The bartender came over. "Lady Sunfire, are you alright?"

Kyliska laughed and shook her head sadly, "No, no I am not, and please call me Lady Sunblade...." With that she stood up as best as she could and threw some more gold on the bar. The bartender smiled and thanked her. She stumbled towards the exit of the bar and Braeth'el appeared out of nowhere and put his arm around her and helped her home. He knew how far gone she was, he had seen it many times before. He wasn't sure how much she would remember in the morning but it was his job to make sure she got home safe. Kyliska leaned into his shoulder and whispered something in his ear.

"She will pay. We must find her, I want her dead Brae....." He wasn't sure if she was serious or not but nodded and they made their way back to Sunfire Spire. Either she would pass out or get sick and then pass out. Either way it would be much better for her to be in her own room. Tomorrow was a new day and hopefully they could talk about what the next step will be in this new life that they would have to learn to deal with.
