The dilemma

Kyliska Sunblade was extremely upset. She didn’t know what had happened. She had been feeling quite good lately. Sirian Sondor had come into her life and made her happy. She was finally starting to get over her feelings for Hauk Fenshire. Hauk had broken her heart when he went back to Redessa Sunsword, but she was his true love. Who was Kyli to stand in the way of that? After the whole mess with Biara’s love spell on Kyli’s armor, things seemed to have calmed down a bit. Her relationship with Sirian was quick, but she had felt like she had known him for a lot longer than she really did. She didn’t know why she felt that way but she was going with the flow. Kyli wasn’t even sure how serious they were, or if they were still able to see other people. They hadn’t talked about that just yet. All she did know for sure was that he had stayed at the Spire for two nights in a row and they had a great time together. Kyli smiled bittersweetly as she thought about those two nights.

Everything was going great. Sirian had been away on some kind of business.
Something to do with his wife. Kyli was concerned about this, but he was not on good terms with his wife, he meant to go to kill her so she would be out of his life forever. She had tried to kill him in the past as well. Kyli thought hard and remembered his wife’s name, Saldoria Nycila Lordaine. He hadn’t told her much about his wife, just that she was an evil rogue that wanted Sirian dead. Kyli felt uneasy that he was going off to find her. She had wanted to go with him, but he made her stay behind, not wanting Saldoria to hurt Kyli. Kyli thought that she could take care of herself being a Blood Knight and all but didn’t press the matter further. This was a personal issue for Sirian and she was going to respect that.

Last night everything changed. Sirian had come to Silvermoon City to meet with Kyli. She was very excited about this because she had missed him so much. But then he started to act strangely and not like himself. Kyliska had a few drinks and had just finished fighting an Alliance raid on Silvermoon. She liked to drink to wind down after a fight. He was giving her a hard time about her drinking. He had never had a problem with it before. He also was saying something about him not liking how much she hated the Alliance and liked to fight them. She tried to tell him that it was her job to fight the Alliance and she had personal reasons to hate them.

He was being very distant though. He was very adamant about Kyli cutting down on her drinking so she finally agreed that she would try to cut down but not give it up completely. She said she would not stop fighting the Alliance though, it was her job and she also enjoyed it. She told him she would not change just because a man wanted her to. Men were allowed to drink as much as they wanted and fight, but women couldn’t for some reason. This angered Kyli to no end. She knew that Sirian was stressed at the moment but that didn’t give him the right to talk to her this way. She cried to him telling him that she didn’t want to fight and he just walked away and told her to go home.

Kyliska yawned not realizing how tired she was after the many fights against the Alliance that she has been doing lately, and her recent fighting with Sirian. She knew it would be hard to sleep tonight because she was so upset, but she decided to head to bed early and then she would hopefully wake up refreshed for the next day. She was going to step up her training, she had heard some comments from her comrades recently and she didn’t want to give them any ammunition to think that she was a bad fighter. It never hurt to get more practice in anyway. Kyli changed into her nightgown and got into bed. Surprisingly, it only took her a few minutes to fall asleep.

Kyli was dreaming about random things such as some of the fights against the Alliance, then her getting her nails done with Biara, to her lunching in Stormwind with Hauk. A sound woke up Kyliska. She rubbed her eyes, still hazy from sleep. She listened intently and recognized the sound of a rogue stealthing and a smile spread across her face. Sirian must be coming to apologize profusely for the way he just treated her. Kyli waited with baited breath for Sirian to come to her bed. It was pitch black in her room, but she could feel him getting closer. Her heart started to beat faster, then she felt lips kiss her very own. Something was different though, something was off. The lips felt different, almost like female lips. Kyliska shook her head to try to get rid of the confusion that she was feeling. She didn’t understand what was happening.

Kyli started to feel different. Her body wouldn’t move. Something was wrong. She licked her lips and tasted something bitter. Her mind raced as she realized what it was. It was a kind of poison! The poison made her body useless. Kyli could feel the bed move as her attacker climbed on the bed and straddled her. Kyli was panicking, she didn’t know what to do, what could she do, she couldn’t even move! Then the pain started. A slow, burning pain that worked its way up her body from her feet to her head. It was almost unbearable. She tried to speak and was able to only whisper.

“Who are you?” she whispered to her attacker.
“Oh you don’t know who I am?” the female voice mocked her.
“No I do not, I know you are some kind of rogue, but that is all….”
“My name is Sally, but my beloved calls me Saldoria.” She started. “I believe you have been with my husband. You will pay for that.” She started. “I mean to hurt him, and by hurting you I will in turn hurt him. He is looking for me and he will be very surprised to find out that I am not where he thinks I am, but here killing you instead.”
“You are lucky you poisoned me rogue, or else I would kick your ass right now!” Kyliska spat at Saldoria.
Saldoria just laughed at Kyli.
“This poison is unlike any other.” Saldoria said. “I made it myself. It’s a very special mixture. As I’m sure you have felt, it will paralyze your body. Then the pain will start, and soon you will be blinded by it. After only a few short hours you will be dead. The poison will shut down every organ in your body. Then I will send a letter to dear Sirian to let him know of your demise.”

Saldoria put her face right in front of Kyliska’s face. She gently caressed her cheek, and then suddenly slapped her hard. She took out one of her daggers and gently traced Kyliska’s arm with it. She dug deeper and drew blood, but not enough to kill her. The poison would do that part for her. She laughed and then got up off the bed. She started to walk towards the window and then grabbed something and turned back towards Kyli. Something was dropped onto her lap. Kyli gasped as she realized it was an arm!

“You long to be in my beloved’s arms.” Sally sneered. “Well here is one of his. I’ll be sure to bring you the other one if you live.”

Kyli watched as her assassian disappeared into stealth and then was gone.

She didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t move how could she call for help? There were many servants at House Dayfire but no one would dare enter her room in the middle of the night. It was times like this that Kyli wished they weren’t so scared of Biara. It was strange but the poison was actually making her tired. She knew that if she fell asleep that she would surely be dead and never wake up. The pain was getting to be unbearable. Her whole body felt like it was on fire. This was the most pain that Kyli had ever felt in her life. The poison was strong, and it felt like it would take her life far sooner than a few hours.

Kyli couldn’t believe that Sirian’s wife had cut off his arm! She was truly an evil woman. How dare she? Kyli wanted to get her hands on that rogue if she lived through this.

Images went through Kyliska’s mind. Images of her past and present. Her life was a good one if this were to be her last night. She finally found a group of friends that she deeply cared for. She would miss Hauk, he was like a brother to her. Biara was the sister she never had, taking her in when her mother was killed, and she looked out for Kyli. There were too many names of her friends but she would miss them all. As her eyes began to close she thought of Sirian. Sirian would come for her, he would realize that Saldoria was not where she was supposed to be and he would save her. But would he get here in time? Then she remembered the fight that her and Sirian had before. Maybe he wouldn’t come for her afterall. Kyli would then die alone, with no one to help her. Kyliska’s eyes finally closed all the way. Her mind was drifting off into sleep, but she could still feel the searing pain. That would be a constant reminder of what had just happened to her until she was dead and gone.

It had been no more than five minutes after Saldoria had disappeared that Sirian would appear out of nowhere opposite of the side Saldoria had vanished from. He wore the mask that he was always seen wearing, his own green eyes looking down to Kyliska, but there was a slight change in those eyes, they were not green as emeralds, perhaps as jade. With a gentle caress he would stroke Kyliska's cheek] " You are quite warm my love, it is now that I confess something most profuse. You are just a fling, a toy, you could never have me. Many lives I have taken with my wife, and you are just another on the list."[/i] he chuckles reflecting on the memory's of his victims. " It is here and now that you should also know....I'm a father. Saldoria will be giving birth to our offspring and that child itself . " Sirian would make his way around the bed, pocketing a few items from the Vanity . " Such simple designs, such narrow views. Its a pity you actually thought I could want anything to do with you. After all this is just a job. "

There would be a illumination in the room, casting shadows all over, the source itself seeming to come from just outside the window . " What the fel?" dropping what he would have pocketed he heads over to the window putting his hands on the handle to open the doors when suddenly the window itself explodes inwards, a figure of sorts crashing through and tackling the body of Sirian. It was hard to distinguish what the body or who the body belonged to now since the light faded just as quickly as it appeared. The bed itself would shake, as the two body's struggle, the sound of something metal being slammed echos in the room momentarily and then a thud.

Sirian would rise up from beside the bed, he would place his hand over Kyliskas head feeling the sweat forming " Hmm, Kyliska Can you say anything?" not getting any initial response Sirian tips a metal finger into a small vial that hung from his belt pouch. He allows his finger to be coated in the substance in the vial then proceeds to nick the back of her hand with that same finger. " I believe that small amount should-" and suddenly the room illuminated itself again, by some magical means. Sirian was be standing there, still touching the back of Kyliska's hand, but now it seemed Sirian was standing behind Sirian?! How could this be? More so one version of Sirian had a blade at the neck of the one standing next to Kyliska.

" Hello Beloved. Have you come to say goodbye to the harlot? I must say you must certainly be desperate to sleep with this one. If my dog had a face like her's I'd shave his rear and teach him to walk backwards" the figure of the second Sirian would snicker, but somehow his voice was not his own. It seemed unstable,.

“ Hello there Sal, its been much too long since we have seen one another.” Sirians body would begin to grow , changing color and shape. The sudden change catches the odd Sirian off guard and steps back only to get a back hand to the face knocking him down. The blow was a heavy blow, knocking her senses back into her. “ You could never hold your disguise as well as I did Saldoria.” Saldoria had lost her focus , her body shifting back to her own shape and size. She rubs her cheek grinning to Sirian before lunging at him with her Dagger aimed for his throat. A slash to his throat would end this , the blade cutting through the air only meets his arm which somehow deflects the blow. Her eyes widen in shock not understanding how that could happen but now was not the time to question it, she immediately dives to the side avoiding the fist aimed to her face. Sirians fist connects with the stone wall , making a small crater into it , with the momentum on his side he spins , throwing another fist to her which she aptly dodges by arching backwards and flipping away landing a few feet away from Sirian. “ My, my, that’s quite a swing you have there beloved. I surely thought I took your arm” she cackles pointing to the bed where Kyliska lay. Sirian could not help but turn his gaze to spot the familiar missing appendage.

This was all the distraction Saldoria needed, while Sirian was observing the decaying arm that once belonged to him , she licked her lips, making sure the toxins had not dried completely. “ Sirian my beloved I only wanted her dead so I could make amends.” her daggers are sheathed, running her hands up along her side to expose the body Sirian once had access to on long passionate nights. “ mmmmh, I’ve missed everything about you Sirian, you’re touch. The warmth, our love.” this would call his attention, giving her a surprised look . Pulling his mask off Sirian exposes the face he always hid from the world. The battle scar his wife had given him running along the right side of his face now having healed but without magical means. “ You mean this Sal? I do not know what got into you but suddenly your trying to kill me.” he throws the mask aside letting it land on the floor.

The two approach each other cautiously and soon, embrace one another followed with a long passionate kiss that to some might seem like it lasted a eternity. Both of them stood there with labored breathing, being lost in one another’s eyes, for once she gives a genuine smile , running a finger between his crotch “ remember that one night….the last night of us Edlan? Remember how we had the one scare that brought us closer?” Sirian only nods slowly “ Well…that was not a scare. I am indeed pregnant with your child…” his eyes widen looking down to her stomach but seeing no swell “ how? You still have your figure?” but he only receives a laugh from Saldoria “ It is early my love, but by the time you realize that you’re going to be dead.”

True to her word Sirian steps back, grabbing at his throat, gagging on something it would seem. He stumbles about gasping for air, crashing into objects in the room , then falls to his knees and soon on his own face . The woman face palms , a unstable laugh echoing in the room “ I’ve finally killed my Beloved Edlan of Sondor. Such a fool to fall for the same trick again!” strutting over to the corpse of her husband she only kicks it to prove he was indeed dead before turning to the “paralyzed” body of Kyliska “ How could you sleep with such a gullible person? You can do better than that ….but then again you too much have been desperate!” she laughs looking back to the body of Sirian but blinks suddenly seeing that it was no longer there. “ What the fel?!”

He came from nowhere, running at Saldoria from behind in perfect silence , landing a open palm blow to her spine with such force she is launched forward into the wall. She would bounced off of the wall landing on back which she kips up facing Sirian with her daggers out “ But how! The toxin should have been paralyzed you !” her lips curl up into a snarl . “ Sal…the only gullible one here is you , to believe I didn’t remember that night.

A moment of silence, as the curtains blow inwards from the broken window and suddenly both of this disappeared. A clash of metal upon metal, sparks flying from every which direction of the room. They were everywhere and no where. One moment Saldoria would be before Kylika stabbing towards her, when suddenly a dark object would parry it and suddenly both disappeared, only to reappear alongside her bed showing her parrying a blow to the shoulder and again they disappeared. Shouts of pain and anger are heard throughout the room and maybe even the spire. Where the vanity had once stood now suddenly breaks, mirrors shatter and soon unseen forces make small craters into the wall. Suddenly they both appear before one another, and almost as suddenly they both land a punch to each others face , with such force they both propel backwards slamming into the wall and slumping down . Again they both stare at one another , panting out of breath. Then in a blink of a eye they were both gone again , appearing from almost nothing but the shadows but they remained din place, hand to hand combat it seems was the way this would end . Siran throwing a uppercut to Saldoria who only matches it with her own, raising a kick to knee him in the groin only to have it meet his own knee.

In this display of a struggle to kill one another there was a sense of intimacy in it, they moved in unison with one another, matching each others blows, where passion was once a term used in the bedroom, it was not being used here. The passion to kill one another with anything and everything they could use. Putting their very heart and soul into the effort.

They were both worn out, but continued the fight. Sirian falls forward using one arm to support his body and throwing a series of kicks towards Saldoria who only blocks them and throws a kick to his face. It connects with his nose sending blood shooting out but again he had vanished ending up behind Saldoria. “ You will Die!” he screams grabbing a hold of skull and running forward , slamming her head into the wall, which he quickly follows up with two punches to the spine and almost as instantly his illusion over his arm fades away, exposing a metal arm and black claws which rakes down on the woman’s back. A cry of pain , her leg arches up kicking sirian In gut to allow her some breathing room from him. She disappears as well ending up in a corner away from Sirian, her own eyes widening at the realization of the metal arm “ how di-” her face goes pale white, her strength waning . “ Wh-what did you do to me Edlan?” but he gave no initial response, he only stalked towards her like a lion about to move in for the kill. With a swipe of his right arm he leaves a three claw marks along her face, sending blood along the walls of Kyliska’s room. Saldora screamed, the pain almost unbearable, the wounds on her back bleeding out as well as burning with a fire, now to match the wound to her face. “ you-you M-m-monster!” she would reach for her dagger only to drop it realizing it weight so much more than she had expected.

“ No, Saldoria, I am your husband, the one that married you and loves you. The only monster here is you. “ and with this his metal hand moves into her stomach, piercing skin and flesh. The womans own eyes widen in shock and awe, whispering something that only sirian could hear. “ That is a lie, I know you are not carrying my child” his hand digging deeper into her only , his wife now falling onto him lifelessly.

Sirian only stepped back pushing the body off of him, but suddenly he freeze’s seeing that Saldoria was not as slim as she had shown and instead now held a rather large swell of a stomach. The world seemed a lot heavier at this moment as he realized that he could peer inside of her wound and saw something which horrified him. “ Wh-what have I done!” the man falls to his knees realizing that the only truth Saldora had given him was that she was indeed carrying his child.
