The Letter

Edmund Weslin was relaxing after a long negotiation. It was tiring running House Weslin. His thoughts always seemed to turn to his daughters Kenzie and Biara though. Biara had seemed to vanish into thin air, and more recently Kenzie had gone missing. He didn't understand it. He had two daughters and now they were both gone. They were probably out with friends and just forgot to check in as they tended to do. They never wanted for anything growing up, so this was their only way to defy their parents. It did worry him that he hadn't heard word at all about either of them though.

Edmund sighed as he sat down. It got so lonely ever since they left, and his wife had died many years ago. Yes he had servants but it just wasn't the same. As if on cue one of the House servants came to him.

"Sir, a letter just arrived for you." the servant said as he handed it to Edmund.

"Thank-you." Edmund eyed the letter with curiosity. This could be word about his daughters. Suddenly he started to read the letter quickly.

*Sir Edmund Weslin. It is with great sadness that I bring this news to you. Your daughter Kenzie Weslin is dead. I do not know how this came to be. I just heard of this news myself and wanted you to be aware. My condolences in this time of grief.*

The letter was unsigned. Edmund just stared at the letter and re-read it over and over. How can this be? How can Kenzie be dead? What happened to her? Suddenly overtaken with grief, he fell to the floor, his body shaking as he sobbed.

* * *

Kenzie smiled to herself when Catterneri came back to her with the news that the letter was delivered to her father. Now he will stop wondering if I am alive or not. It is true Kenzie Weslin is indeed dead, Kenzie Dawnsea the Sin'dorei is alive and well though! She giggled. She did feel slightly bad that her father was in so much pain, but it was better that he think that she was dead than to know what she had become. He would never approve of what she did, and especially for the reasons. He didn't even know that Biara was never his daughter, she was just a fake memory that she had given them.

Her father would move on from this news. Maybe someday she could also send word to him that Biara was never his daughter. But for now, he had just lost one daughter, let him grieve that before he lost another. Kenzie would make Biara regret that she ever came into her and her father's life. That she pretended for all that time to be her sister and make her trust her, when she was really spying on them. Kenzie took a deep breath and composed herself. Patience, she told herself. Biara would get what was coming to her in due time....
