A friend in need
Kyliska sat under one of her favorite trees in Eversong and thought back to the events of last night. She was called to help defend Tol Barad. She knew that Andi would not approve of her fighting but she felt that she had a duty to the Horde to protect them against the Alliance. She was as careful as she could be in her fighting. She thought that if Andi did find out he would be more upset if she was fighting in the Arena, which is a choice, opposed to fighitng their actual enemy. She always made sure to be with other Horde infantry so she would not be the only target.
She was making her way to Warden's Vigil when she realized she was alone. Kyli wasn't scared per se but worried that if someone caught her alone she was more at risk for getting hurt, and then upsetting Andi. She looked around but there were no other Horde to be found. She sighed and then suddenly she felt something hit her in the back. She fell to her knees from the blow of the weapon that just hit her. Suddenly her emotions changed as if a switch was turned on. Her fear of being alone and upsetting her love disappeared and only anger and adreneline were present now.
Kyliska waited a moment, knowing her enemy would try to slay her as she was kneeled on the ground. But little did they know that Kyli was a true fighter and would never let that happen. Kyli could hear as the weapon was coming towards her head and she ducked gracefully out of the way and then did a flip and was suddenly facing her enemy. The human had a shocked expression on their face, thinking that Kyli was an easy kill for sure. He composed himself quickly enough and they had a good fight back and forth. Their blades crashing against each other. Kyli barely felt the pain in her back as she fought. Her blood rage took over and the only thing on her mind was this duel and eventually killing this foul human.
She got a few good hits in on him, and his blood poured out of some of the wounds. He seemed to be just as into the fight as she was though and they kept going. Suddenly the human got a good shot on Kyli on her arm and she almost dropped her sword. Then out of nowhere Kranik, the troll was behind the human. Kyli's eyes opened wide as she saw him continue to stab the human. She composed herself and stunned the human so she could help Kranik kill him. With both of them it was much easier to just take him down, and soon the human was dead. She wasn't sure if he died from the blows from them or from the poisons that the rogue had placed on him. Kyli shrugged, it really didn't matter as long as he was dead.
She was breathing hard, and stood for a minute trying to catch her breath. Quietly under her breath she said a quick prayer and the wound on her arm was healed. She looked to the troll rogue, and started to say thank-you but then he saluted her and vanished. Kyli sighed. Now that was odd she thought. That was at least the second or third time that Kranik has saved my life. He had a knack for always being there at the exact right time. Was he her guardian angel or something? She knew he was a great fighter for the Horde, and she was glad that he kept coming to help her when she needed it.
Kyliska was about to make her way to Warden's Vigil since that was her main purpose but then the horns sounded that the Alliance was pushed out of Tol Barad, and it was now claimed by the Horde. The Horde had defended it well. Kyliska smiled as she made her way the Horde Base Camp. Yes I do indeed think I might have a guardian angel....
