Kenzie wore all
black as she attended the funeral of Lord Velorieth Dawnsea's wife. She
had somehow overdosed on her cough medicine that she took sometimes at
night. Velorieth did not seem as sad as he should have being that his
wife had just died. Kenzie thought that maybe he was not in love with
her anymore and maybe that is why he didn't seem to care too much that
she was now gone. She made her way over to him after the funeral to pay
her condolences. This would be perfect, if she would infiltrate House
Dawnsea then she would be a noble of Silvermoon City. Something that she
never even dreamed she would be able to do.
"My Lord, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please let me know if there is anything I can do." Kenzie said in her sweetest voice.
"Thank-you....I didn't catch your name?" He replied.
"Kenzie, just call me Kenzie." She smiled at him and there was a twinkle in his eye as he returned the smile. This might be easier than I thought Kenzie sensed. She gave him a quick hug and he seemed to hold on to her a little more tightly than a stranger should. She laughed slightly at this.
"Lord, I would love to have dinner with you, I am new to this city and I fear that you should not be alone at a time like this." Kenzie said.
"Kenzie, you are right. I do not want to be alone just yet. Your company would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you for the generous offer. And please call me Velorieth."
A few months later.....
Kenzie looked into the mirror as the House Dawnsea servants tended to her hair. She looked down at her beautiful white wedding dress and smiled. Vel played right into my plan. Soon I will be a noble in House Dawnsea. The stupid fool fell for me. Apparently he was not too in love with his wife being that the very night of her funeral he came to my bed. She laughed slightly as she remembered that night. The servants gave her a strange look but she didn't care. To think that not too long ago she was a Human, and now here she was, a Sindorei getting married to a Lord and becoming a noble! Well she was a noble before, but to be in Silvermoon City was something altogether different then being in Stornwind City! When she had decided to make a deal with the demons to turn into a Sindorei, Kenzie had stolen money from her family, quite a lot of money in fact. When Vel had proposed Kenzie at least had something to bring to the marriage. She didn't need his money, she had her own, but she did want to be a noble of Silvermoon. That way Biara could not openly harm her. Not that she knew who she was anyway.
Vel had fallen hard and fast for Kenzie. He was enamored by her, and she didn't even have to use her succubus to seduce him! He made this too easy for her. As Kenzie looked at her reflection she realized that she liked her new body, her new face, her new life. Revenge against Biara would just be icing on the cake at this point. Her whole life was different now.
The servants had put the finishing touches on Kenzie's hair and make-up and she was ready to marry Velorieth. She took a deep breath and put on her happiest face as she headed towards the aisle that she would walk down. She made eye contact with Vel and he just smiled at her, and she smiled just as sweetly back at him. Oh Vel, if only you knew.....
Some time later....
Kenzie Dawnsea was crying hysterically. The Blood Knights were trying to find out what happened, but Kenzie had trouble breathing and getting the words out.
"Please, you must tell us what happened to Lord Dawnsea!" They exclaimed.
"I....He....fell....down the stairs." She stammered. "I don't even know how it happened, I was in the bedroom and then I heard a loud noise and I came running to see what happened and then I saw him at the bottom of the stairs at this strange angle. I knew right away that he was dead, but I didn't want to believe it!" She started to cry even harder and the Blood Knights tried to comfort her as best as they could.
"It is alright miss, we will take care of the body. You just try to relax. Should we send for healers to try to let you get some rest?"
"Oh no that is alright. I....I will be alright. I just loved him so much!" Kenzie stammered.
They gave her sympathetic looks and took Lord Dawnsea's body out of the Manor. One Blood Knight turned around before her left. "Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you, Kenzie Dawnsea."
She nodded through her tears and then they were gone. She closed the door and went over the the staircase where her husband had just died. Slowly her tears started to dry up and she started to laugh. As if he heard, her felguard Jhudhun came out of the shadows. Kenzie turned to him and smirked.
"Good job Jhudhun. You made it look like an accident! They will never suspect a thing! And now I am the ruler of House Dawnsea!" She exclaimed. "Kenzie Dawnsea. I like the sound of that. Kenzie Weslin is now dead and gone. The human I once was is gone forever. Now only the Sindorei remains. Now to find Biara Dayfire. I must pay her a visit."
Kenzie could not stop laughing as she made her way into her bedroom to find suitable funeral attire. To think that she met Vel at a funeral and now she will be attending his. Fate is almost too cruel....
