Decisions

Kyliska woke up early as she usually did. She looked over at Andissiel sleeping soundly next to her. He looked so peaceful, so handsome. She didn't want to disturb him. She gently leaned over to kiss his forehead and he opened his eyes slightly.

"Kyli, good morning my love." he said with a sleepy smile.

"Hello Andi, we must talk, but for now sleep, it can wait until later."

He reached up and caressed her face and then fell back asleep.  Kyliska smiled sadly as she looked at his sleeping form. He was so good to her. He loved her so much. How could she break his heart? She wasn't even sure how he would react to her news. It was possible that he wouldn't want this baby either, but what if he did? Their relationship would forever be changed and she didn't know if she could handle that. Her heart ached as she watched him. The slow rise and fall of his chest as he slept so soundly. A single tear fell from Kyli's cheek and she quickly wiped it away.

She went to her desk and wrote a quick note to him explaining that she went for a walk but needed to talk to him, in case he forgot since he wasn't quite awake when she told him. She wrote a similar letter to her sister. She wanted to talk to them both. They both needed to know. She had wanted to tell them both yesterday but she didn't work up the courage. But today was a new day. She would tell them both her secret today.

Kyliska placed Andi's letter next to him on the bed. She then left her room and her love, and went to the outside of Biara's room. She slid her letter under the door for her to read when she awoke. Now there was no turning back. Her secret would be revealed today to the two elves she loved most in this life.
