"So how is that sister of yours doing anyway Kyli?" Tiandril Sunsilk asked.
Kyliska and Tiandril had been spending a lot of time together recently. For some reason Andi had not come to see her in quite some time, and she didn't want to go to his Spire with the tensions mounting between their Houses. So she settled for seeing Ti. He was a good friend and since that one time that they almost kissed, he had toned down his flirting which made Kyli feel more comfortable. They would just drink, and joke around, and were just having a good time being friends. Kyli needed some more friends and Ti was just the elf for the job!
"My sister." Kyli started. "Well a LOT has happened since the last time I saw you Ti. A LOT! We both tried to kill each other on separate occassions, but it is fine now!" Kyli said with a smile.
"Wait, you both tried to kill each other? And it is 'fine' now?" Tiandril started to laugh. "I never understood the bond that you two had, but there is something there. It is so deep that you could both forgive each other for trying to kill one another!"
Kyliska began to laugh along with him realizing how silly it sounded when she said it out loud. "Well we both had perfectly good reasons.....at the time anyway!" Now she was laughing so hard that tears were streaming down her face. Tiandril was also almost in tears. They could not stop laughing, and other Sin'Dorei started to give them strange looks now.
"Well at least I had the excuse of being addicted to bloodthistle at the time! Biara claimed she had performed a 'defensive' spell and it was a crime of passion!" Kyliska said.
Tiandril looked at her, and pushed her jokingly and started to laugh even more. "Bloodthistle? Really? That is hysterical Kyli!" He almost shouted. "How in the fel did you get involved in that stuff?"
"It was an accident! And then I was addicted, so I was in a drug induced rage!" She proclaimed. "Anyway, the details are not important right now. We have moved past these events in our lives. We are closer than ever. Even with stupid assassains trying to kill us all the damn time!"
Tiandril put a hand on her shoulder gently, his expression turned serious all of a sudden. "Kyli, I would never let anyone hurt you, you know that right?"
Kyliska stopped laughing and looked into Tiandril's eyes. She was sort of entranced by them at that very moment. "Ti, of course I know you wouldn't let anyone hurt me." she started. "But the truth of the matter is, I'm a fighter, and so is my sister. And we have tons of guards and protection. We can take care of ourselves. But I do appreciate you saying that."
Kyliska turned to the bartender and ordered them another round of drinks. She was starting to feel a bit tipsy, but she didn't care. It was nice to just relax for once. Not to be on guard at every moment. She knew that she probably shouldn't get TOO comfortable since House Dawnsea was always plotting something against her and her sister, but for once she just didn't care. She wanted to drink with her friend and reminece about old times.
Kyli downed the next drink, and didn't realize that it was a tad stronger than the previous one, and she was starting to feel lightheaded. She didn't notice but she was starting to sway on the stool she was sitting on and Tiandril put his arm around her to steady her. His touch was so gentle, even though she knew he was very strong. She sort of slumped into his shoulder, not really being able to keep her head up anymore. It was getting hard to move her mouth to talk, it seemed to take so much strength to say anything at all.
"Ti....you're a good friend to me!" she slurred as she snuggled into his shoulder. "And you sure are comfortable!"
Tiandril smiled and stroked her hair. "Kyli, I think you had one too many drinks. I'm cutting you off!" he said playfully. "Maybe I should get you home so you can rest."
Kyliska's eyes were getting very heavy. She couldn't keep them open much. "Ti. I think I'm just going to rest here for a minute, if that is ok. My eyes do not seem to want to stay open at the moment. I just need to rest...." Kyli fell asleep leaning on Tiandril. In truth it didn't seem too comfortable, being on the stools and whatnot, so Tiandril gently picked Kyli up and brought her upstairs where there were rooms available. He put her down on a bed and pulled the blankets up over her. He then sat in a nearby chair so he would be there in case she woke up sick or needed anything.
He enjoyed taking care of her. He hoped that she would see how much he really did care for her. It wasn't just a physical attraction, it was more than that. Kyli was not sleeping too well and she kicked the blankets off of her. Her shirt slightly moved and showed her stomach. Tiandril tried not to look and was just going to pull the blankets back up when he saw a large scar across her stomach. It looked like whatever caused that scar was pretty painful at the time. As if Kyli heard him, her hand moved down to touch the scar. She started to moan in her sleep. She kept murmuring something about a baby. Was Kyli pregnant, and then lost the baby he wondered. He felt genuine sadness for her then. That must have been a very terrible and painful experience to go through.
Kyli started to thrash her body back and forth on the bed. She was having some kind of nightmare. Tiandril slowly sat on the bed and held onto her so she would relax, and she finally settled down and got quiet. She nuzzled into his chest and softly whispered "Andi....I have missed you....."
Tiandril sighed, realizing that she did still have feelings for another, and just tried to relax as he held Kyliska in his arms.
