Kyliska stood on
the sidelines in the Gurubashi Arena. She was enthralled with how the
crowd cheered at seeing the combatants fight against one another. It was
so exilirating! Her heart was pounding, and the blood rage was starting
to surface more and more as she watched more fighting. Both sides,
Horde and Alliance fought against one another. They all seemed to be of
the same mind, they just wanted to fight. It seemed to be mostly melee
fights, and that was fine with her, Kyli loved hand to hand combat after
all. For the first time in a long time Kyli smiled. She smiled as she
watched the fighting and loved every minute of it.
So THIS is what it feels like to be alive again, she thought. I missed this! I am going to feel, I am going to fight, I am going to shed the enemies blood, and enjoy every single minute of it!
Kyliska sighed contentedly and sat back down. She just let the whole Arena soak in. Thoughts of her sister and Andi were distant now. She still thought of them, but for the moment, she just reveled in the energy of the Arena. She didn't realize how much she missed it. Unconsciously her hand moved to her stomach where her child once grew. She looked down and stared at her stomach in almost disbelief as she remembered that her baby was no longer there. She had a scar to replace the baby, but that was all. She slowly moved her hand over the scar and an energy surged through her. She jumped up and screamed. A human was sitting next to her and stared at her with anger in his eyes.
"Elf, what is wrong with you?" he asked her.
"Nothing that a good fight can't fix Human!" she snarled as she punched him square in the face. He took the punch with a stunned look on his face that she had actually hit him. She smiled and then was about to punch him again, but this time he hit her back. She took the punch to her right eye and just laughed at him. She didn't wince, or cry out, she just laughed. This seemed to anger the Human more than any punch she could have thrown at him. He yelled and tackled her to the ground in the stands. They were getting in hits at each other until finally the crowd pulled them apart. They kept trying to get back to each other to continue their fight, but they were being held back by too many people.
"Save it for the tournament!" someone yelled.
"You are lucky Human! I have so much more fight in me, you do not even understand!" Kyli screamed at him.
"Oh, you think so Elf?" he started. "So do I! I hope we get to fight in this tournament, I would LOVE to kick your pretty little ass!"
Kyli spit at him and shrugged off the people holding her. She smiled and walked away. She would leave the arena for now and await her time to fight in the actual tournament. But that sure did feel good! Now that her adreneline was starting to fade she felt a stinging in her eye. Another arena goer had a mirror out and was checking her hair, Kyli grabbed it quick and took a good look at her face. She noticed that she was starting to get a black eye from where the Human had punched her. She dropped the mirror back in the patrons lap and chuckled as she walked away. She had worse injuries in her life. She looked down on the scar on her stomach again, yes I have had worse injuries.....
