Shadows of the Past

(This was written by Andithiel)

He felt that he was a stranger within the forest. The golden sunlight broke through the trees and reflected on the very leaves, enchancing the golden glow of Eversong Forest, leaving no room for shadows. The sunlight bore down on him, as if it too were watching him. He wanted to be alone.

Andissiel's eyes began to scout the surrounding area. It had only been a few times with Kyliska that he was able to venture into the forest...but those times, his eyes were soley fixed on the woman whom he loves. Nothing else around him mattered. Without her, everything felt foreign to him, Silvermoon, Eversong, his very existance. He knew no where else to retreat to but here. His sisters he could not turn to as each one was re-discovering thei own paths with the fall of House Dayfire.

His paced slowed as the sounds of battle were heard not far off in the distance. After a few steps, a few Sin'Dorei warriors were seen. Each one was stationed at a practice dummy, using them for obvious purposes. This was no battle...it was a training excercise for these men. Andissiel watched, trying to get an idea of who these men represented, each one bore a tabard of a House in which he did not recognize...quickly he began to lose interest.

He turned around and took a few steps away until the name "Kyliska" was mentioned. Andissiel froze. His eyes widened...and his heart stopped, he quickly turned back and took refuge behind a large tree as he began to listen to the two warrior's conversation. The two made sneer remarks to one another regarding each other's tactics before mentioning Kyliska once more. The two spoke of seeing her within Silvermoon only hours before training to enter a tournament being held at Gurubashi Arena.

Andissiel turned the opposite direction and ran towards Silvermoon in way of Stranglethorn. If Kyliska was well and recently learned of the disaster regarding her sister Biara...and her House, he knew she would endanger herself over the grief, sadness and sorrow she was dealt with. It was all too much for him, let alone for Kyliska who had been in a coma for months.

Silvermoon City and the Flightmaster came into view shortly after.
