Dangerous liasons

Kyliska Sunfire was walking through Silvermoon aimlessly. Andithiel just left her saying he had business to attend to. In all honestly she was a little hurt that he had left her. They had a very candid conversation about how they needed to spend more time together and then he just suddenly had to leave. It just seemed odd to her. They wanted to see more of each other but then he left. She knew that Andi loved her so she wasn't worried, but she did miss him terribly. Even just talking for that little bit tonight made her miss him even more.

She sighed as she walked through the gates of Silvermoon and she walked into Eversong Forest. She hummed slightly to herself as she took in the beautiful scenery. Andi told her they would go for a walk soon enough themselves but she was in the mood to go for a walk tonight, so she was. the forest always put her at ease. Just taking in it's beauty was enough to calm her nerves. She walked deep into the woods to a place where she felt she could be by herself and decided to rest against one of the larger trees. She was pretty close to the ocean and she just closed her eyes and listened to the waves crashing along the shore. It was so peaceful.

Suddenly, Kyli felt a presence. She tensed and her hand immediately went for her ax that was lying next to her. She took it in her hand and spun around only to find Tiandril Sunsilk standing there watching her with awe in his eyes. He laughed slightly at her for taking her ax out. She could tell he was making fun of her and she was in no mood for that tonight.

"Tiandril, how dare you sneak up on me like that!" she yelled. "Don't you know NEVER to sneak up on me. I could have killed you!"

"Oh Kyli, you would never kill me, I know that." he said smiling at her. He took a step closer to her and put his hand on her hand that held her ax and slowly moved it down so it was parallel with her body. "Now put that ax down dear Kyli, you won't be needing it, I promise."

She kept her eyes on him and dropped her ax to the ground. Her heart was still pounding from thinking an enemy had caught her off guard. She tried to stay serious and mad at him, but staring into his eyes, his smiling eyes made her relax. "You are lucky you are you, Ti! If you were anyone else I might just stab you anyway just for scaring me!" She pushed him and then sat back down at the base of the tree. Without being asked he sat down next to her, a little too close.

Kyli looked at him as if to question why he was sitting so close, but she didn't say anything. They just sat there in silence for what seemed like forever. Kyli started to breathe slowly, in time with the waves. She closed her eyes and just relaxed. She was letting her emotions cloud her judgement. She didn't mean to, it was just happening. Things were happening all too fast, yet slow at the same time. It didn't seem to make sense. She felt Tiandril's hand upon her own. She didn't move or push him away. It felt nice to have some contact with someone. After Andi had brushed her off she needed some company. She knew she should have insisted on HIS company but her mind was not listening to reason right now.

She could feel Tiandril slowly move her head so it was resting on his shoulder. Again, she did not move, she let him do it. Now she could feel the warmth of his body. He was only wearing a light shirt as it was a hot night. She gently moved her other hand to his chest and could feel his heart pounding hard and fast. She finally dared to open her eyes and look at him. He was staring at her, with a serious look on his face. A look of pure lust. She knew what he was about to do. She knew she could stop it if she had wanted to, but in a way, she didn't want to. She wanted this to happen from the first moment she had ever laid eyes on him all those years ago when they first met. The moment seemed to last forever. He gently placed a hand on the side of her face and caressed her cheek. Then ever so slightly he pulled her face to his and kissed her lips gently. It was so gently that she wasn't even sure if they had kissed. Then when he realized that she hadn't resisted, he pulled her in again to kiss her more aggressively this time. Kyli was caught a little bit off guard, but then returned the kiss. She was caught up in the moment of the feelings that she had been trying to fight for weeks.

Kyli let herself be reckless and not think of anything else but this moment. She enjoyed kissing him. His hands were so strong pulling her close to him. And then out of nowhere as if she were struck by lightning she put her hands on his chest and pushed him away. They were both breathing heavily. They stared at each other. Kyli put her fingers to her lips and then got up fast.

"I.....I can't be doing this...." She stammered. "Ti...TI, you know I'm in love with Andi!" She was blushing furiously and still trying to catch her breath.

"Kyli, I know you have wanted this. Please do not fight this." he started. "I know you feel the same way about me as I do about you. You keep claiming to love this Andi, but you keep finding yourself with me. You keep flirting with me. You just KISSED me."

Kyli looked uncomfortable. She held her hand to her throat. She suddenly felt sick. "Ti.....this shouldn't have happened. I can't be doing this. If Andi were to find out...." She was mumbling and pacing. Tiandril got up and took a step towards her but she held her hand out to stop him. "No please, don't come near me. Ti, please just stay away from me, ok? This cannot happen again, EVER again."

Tiandril suddenly looked hurt. He took a step back away from her. "I understand. I respect your feelings Kyli, but you cannot deny what we have. We have a chemistry that I do not think you and Andi have. Or else why would you not be with HIM tonight instead of me?"

"I WAS with him, but then he left me." she started. "And besides you found ME. I was not looking for you! You spied on me and followed me out here, and then KISSED ME! How dare you!"

"Yes because you seemed SO unwilling!" he yelled back at her. "You can be mad at me all you want, but don't deny that you wanted to kiss me just as much as I wanted to kiss you. Don't play the victim and act like I forced you or something, because that is not the case here."

"Just leave me alone, ok?" she almost whispered.

"Gladly. And I won't come looking for you again, you can count on that." he turned around and started to walk away. Kyli let him go at first but then called out his name and he slowly turned around.

"I'm sorry Ti. I really am. I don't want you to leave me alone. I know I wanted this too, but it really cannot happen again. Please, please just respect my wishes." she pleaded with him. "Andi trusts me, he trusts that you are an honorable man. Let us live up to that truth, alright? Let us be friends, the BEST of friends, and that is all."

Tiandril looked at her with a sadness to his eyes. "If that is really what you want Kyli, I can do that. But I do not think it is true. I will be here waiting for when you realize what you really want though." He walked over to her and hugged her tightly.

"Thank-you Ti. I must go now before I do something else that I might regret. I will see you again. Have a good night." With that she walked away and didn't look back. She feared that if she turned around she wouldn't be able to leave him that night. That she would want to kiss him again and again and she knew that was not the right thing to do. That wasn't fair to Andi. She already felt extreme guilt over what had just happened. She didn't need to add to that. She would go home and take a nice bath and try to forget about what had occurred tonight. It might be easier said than done. She could still feel the kiss upon her lips. Her heart was still beating rapidly within her chest. She was in trouble alright.....
